Wednesday Morning Analogous Bitchery

Verizon Wireless Customer Service is to "good" and "helpful" as stubbing one's toe is "fun" and
"nice-feeling".

Make sense?

I bought a cell phone last night, paid for a plan..and found out AFTER the fact that i can't have a 617 number nor a 781 number nor any massachusetts area code because Adam's phone has a 603 (NH) area code. Even though i specifically asked before I paid for anything if it would be a problem having a different area code and the sales man said "NOT AL ALL". grrrrrrrrrrrr.....

who do you have now? still sprint?

you are not kidding! they wanted to charge adam $15 for changing his area code even though he MOVED from NH to MA and that is what neccesitated the change. so basiclally he is being punished for moving.

Sarah - I agree with the Cingular recommendation. I've had them for 2 years and love them! Great customer service reps, little to no chance of you having to talk to some rep overseas and they stand by their customer service. I LOATHE Verizon with a passion. Had NOTHING but trouble, esp. with their Salem Mall store. They tell you a load of crap only to find out that they lied just to get you to sign on the dotted line. Found out the hard way when I moved to Orlando a couple months later. Uggghhhh - not happy memories.

Plus - Cingular has cute & fashionable phones (well as fashionable as a phone could get I guess).

I have Verizon and i do like it but mostly because they are the only ones who even come close to covering most of NH. Just threaten to switch to another plan and usually they can find you a better deal than they quoted. Competition is too fierce to put up with poor customer service.

I have a cingular family account in my name w/ 2 phones, both of them have phone numbers that have different cities attached to them. (So friends in both places that don't have long distance have a way to keep in touch w/ us.)

I don't know how they do w/ seperate AREA codes, but you can check. I like cingular. They've been good.

"Worry Free Guarantee" my ass! For 3 months my husband and I have been fighting our phone bill which THEY messed up when we combined plans for the Family Share. Somehow we keep getting charged for In calling. Isn't that free for everyone with any plan?

LOL I applied at Verizon and failed their 'choose your own adventure' type customer service test...but the guy who barely spoke english passed. Go figure. I guess that means they don't want you to think for yourself if you work there!
