Two Things I Hate Today

1) Pants without pockets.

They haunt my life. As I have oft complained about, I have a 34 inch inseam which makes pant shopping a needle in a haystack adventure. So when I find pants that are long enough for me to wear heels with AND cute I get very excited. I may even do a pants dance. But I find that more often than not cute, very long pants do NOT have pockets. Like pants designers got together and decided people who are tall have no need for pockets and we should be glad we even found pants at all. Not. Right.

2) Allergies.

I can tell that spring is here because last night I could not stop sneezing and today I have so much sinus pressure I feel like I'l lifting 20 lb weights with my face. My cheeks are going to be so ripped! I have very persnickety allergies too. I had them really bad in middle school (during which time I took Seldane D which I loved but which made me feel like I was high on crack. It was later pulled off the market for causing heart attacks. Crack can do that to you I guess). Then in high school and colleeg they dissapeared. Now in the winter of my twenties they are back with a vengeance, signaling the change of seasons and the the climb of Claritin's stock price. I take heart in the fact that I don't have it as bad as my friend's dog, who also has allergies and is so small when he sneezes he hits his head on the ground. Aw!

Hope your poor sinuses are feeling better soon and that you pant's pockets to keep your Claritin in :)

I agree with #1 and will add to the list of pants grievances: pants without belt loops-- wtf? I need pants that will cover my ghetto booty and thus are always too large at the waist. No belt loops are a pants dealbreaker for me.

I suffer from allergies too! Not fun.

1. I'll take it further and say that whenever I find an item that does feature pockets and I'm not expecting them (ie: skirt, dress) I automatically buy it.

2. dog hitting head on the floor - best thing I've heard all day!

You need a netti pot stat! I suffered from allergies for ten years since moving to New Mexico. They were so bad I would have wheezing asthma attacks that would land me in the ER. Then I found the netti pot and my goodness does it help. It has made my life almost allergy attack free in a state where the juniper counts are in the thousands along with a dozen other desert related awfulness. It's cheap with a minimal investment and will make the sinus pressure go away. Just try it and I bet you could even find one at CVS!

Aw poor puppy!

I thought my allergies were kicking in, so I took a Claritin Monday morning. Unfortunately, the sneezing and runny nose persisted, which has me thinking it's an end-of-the-season cold. Zicam is not really working and my nose is SO sore. Which has me dreading this spring more so than past years - my allergies get worse every year. So I feel your pain. :(

Dude, don't even get me started on the horrors of shipping for pants with long inseams.

I second the netti pot! Definitely worth the investment!!

I'm with you on the pants without pockets! I just need to temporarily carry a few small things. A slip of paper with my to-do list on it, my hair elastic, a few coins.

Longer length pants can be had at Eddie Bauer and Chico's. I know Eddie Bauer tall sizes are only internet/catalog. I'm not sure about Chico's.

ha! that's too funny. I actually prefer my pants without pockets. Go figure. BUT! I'll buy anything else with a pocket, just because it has a pocket (dresses, skirts, cardigans, LOVE a pocket). I think the way I'm built, no matter how loose the pants are, the pockets pull on me, so unflattering. I esp love "Like pants designers got together and decided people who are tall have no need for pockets and we should be glad we even found pants at all" You always make me laugh.

I love that there's way more comments on my What I Hate post than on my What I Like post. Let's face it, Hating = FUN.
