Ahh the day before a long weekend. Is there anything sweeter?

Is it bad that I feel more into July 4th than I have in a while thanks to the John Adams miniseries on HBO? If that doesn't pump you up for some Independence Day celebrations I don't know what will!

I will be leaving this afternoon straight from work to relax in New Hampshire for the long weekend. You might be thinking "Oh cool, New Hampshire. You can buy fireworks there and you can't do that in Massachusetts. How befitting for this our nation's celebration". But I will not be buying any fireworks (other than sparklers) beacause SOMEONE for some reason does not think I can play with fireworks safely. So while I might be the Nana who can't hear, Adam is the Dad who doesn't want anyone to have ANY FUN. Hmph.

But there will be cookouts and fire pits and swimming in the river and maybe some outlet shopping- so I suppose it's okay.
