You may have noticed the little Shecky's symbol over on the right hand side of my blog. If you're not familiar, Sheckys.com is this fabulous website that tells us all what's going on in Nightlife, Fashion and Beauty around the country. It's broken up into cities and the Boston site, located at http://www.sheckys.com/boston/ is updated every day, several times a day with info on whats going on at local bars/clubs/restaurants, deals at local shops and spas, and general fun bits of info about goings-on in the city. Kind of like a Daily Candy but updated several times a day, with emails sent out a few times a week if you sign up for their newsletter.
Anyway my friend Andy got me a gig doing freelance work for Shecky's Boston over the past few months and it has been a lot of fun. Recently, I was offered the position of "Boston Beauty and Fashion Editor" which I of course accepted and you can start reading me daily over there starting on November 16th, so please bookmark the site and check it out!
In any case, the point of my post today is to tell you about Shecky's Girls Night Out in Boston, happening at the Cyclorama in the South End next Wednesday and Thursday night (the 15th and the 16th). It's a shopping party featuring 50 designers, complimentary cocktails and tons of free goodies. Tickets are $25 (you must buy tickets in advance) and while Wednesday is sold out, Thursday still has tickets left so if you're into shopping and free cocktails definitely check it out. Andy and I will be there!
And even if you can't make it to Girls Night Out, check out Shecky's Boston !

Congrats on the new gig!!!
you're gonna be famous!
I haven't read your blog in over a year (I had to stop writing mine and got out of blog-land for a while), but I just started rereading the year's worth I missed and I am so glad I read this post! I just bought tickets for Thursday night for 2 of my coworkers and I. Thanks for the 411 and we should try to meet up and say hi! :)
i'm so glad! we should definitely meet up and say hi (and share a cocktail!)
congrats on the new gig! I'll go check it out!
That's awesome - congrats!
I did actually click on the link and read about it, but unfortunately, I'll be working Thursday night :(
Will they make that a regular event, because I'm definitely in for the second one.
Should Andy really be going to a "Girls night out"?
Am I secure enough in my manhood to post a comment on such a feminine post?
What happens when the IT group notices I clicked on the “Shecky's Girls Night Out” link.
Ohh crap!!!
