I am so out of it today. Should I blame the flu shot? Or the copious amounts of wine drank at Tempo last night with my cousin, Minda and Kathy?

Maybe it's a little of both.

I will say this though. If your stomach has been bothering you all day, wine and oysters are NOT the solution. Even though at the time it may seem like they could be.

Tonight we are having our friends The Cappellas over for dinner and then heading out to the movies to see Borat. I feel about Borat (and Ali G) interactions with unsuspecting people the same way I feel about watching gymnastics on television when the gymnast fucks up: I feel so embarrassed for the person on TV that I am too uncomfortable to enjoy it at all.

BUT supposedly a lot of people also feel this way about Larry David on Curb Your Enthusiasm (why? I have no idea because it is the best show ever). And those people are missing out hardcore on some brilliance because of a little supposed discomfort.

I won't be one of those people.

So I will face my fear/discomfort and watch Borat tonight! Wish me luck.

I debated getting the flu shot - seeing as the cute little kids I work with nearly every day are overrun with all sorts of germs - but then I heard so much about people getting sick from it anyway, I declined.

One of the teachers at the school where I'm doing field work said that last years' new teachers were sick all the time - really, it's inevitable, working in a place like that.

I'm going with Airborne, instead. Heard it works wonders.

Hope you're feeling better today :)
