it is so humid outside right now. it's like walking through a disgusting warm mist just to get from my car to the office. and don't even get me started on my hair. let's put it this way, i bought a new can of spray gel on Friday and it is basically gone today.

(p.s. i became addicted to the Matrix curl.life line when Adam's sister in law bought me a basket of goodies from them for Christmas. if you are a curly girl you should definitely check it out. it works GREAT!)

but anyway

my weekend was very relaxing and fun. friday night i stopped by my parents' house after work to visit the ADORABLE puppy, Bodhi, who they just picked up from the breeders'. he is so unbelievably cute, i am in love. i am really excited to puppy-sit for him while my parents are down the Cape in August. especially since at work on Fridays it is Take Your Dog to Work day so i will have fun bringing him in and showing him off. after visiting with the pooch, I went home and Jeannie and Capella came over to watch the Sox game, drink beer, eat brie and socialize. Those Capellas (to be!) are so cute.

saturday i woke up early (as usual) and Adam and i went to Nantasket Beach for a few hours, then to BJ's to stock up on meat (one can never have too much meat in the summer), then we stopped by the fabulous Union Brew House in Weymouth for lunch. They have a selection of over 99 beers so if you are into that sort of thing you should definitely check it out. It's decorated like Adam's dream-basement with lots of wood paneling, Red Sox curtains, christmas lights and hundreds of beer ads. I got a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat with a slice of lime and it was DIVINE. it may be my new summer drink.

so after lunch we went to my parents' house AGAIN so Adam could meet the puppy and so my dad could give us fishing rods which we hope to use next week on our days off! i swear, now that they have that dog i am going to visit them probably 100% more than i do now. i normally only see them once every two weeks or so (yes, i am a bad daughter!), but in the past 3 days i have been there twice!

that night, we headed to Natick to have dinner with Jenn and Mike in their cute and SO COOL apartment (damn people who have more than one AC!). the meat was good (how could it not be!?) and Mike kept the wine/champagne flowing like, well, wine. I hadn't seen Jenn in a few months so it was nice to catch up. the night ended with Adam playing Mike's guitar and all of us having an Extreme Sing Along. literally, we sand Extreme. More Than Words is a fun song to sing when drunk (or anytime, really).

yesterday i was a total bum and all i got accomplished was watching the entire second season of Curb Your Enthusiasm which was of course hilarious. i love that Larry David.
