yet another concept that (straight) men cannot grasp:

it is only okay to bring up how much an article of clothing you bought cost if you paid very little for it. for instance:
acceptable:"do you like my shoes? they were only $10 at TJs!!!!"
unacceptable: "do you like my shoes? they were only $700 at Saks!"

inversely, it is only ok to comment on where someone got something (if you can tell by looking at it) if it is from an expensive store:
acceptable: "i love that necklace!! Tiffany's, right?"
unacceptable: "i love that necklace!! Walmart, right?"

confusing, but entirely true. right girls?
