My Favorite Inaugural Day Image
That is what America is all about. The freedom to express yourself.
Especially if your self-expression involves wearing a fabulous, divalicious hat.

WORK!
LOVE it.
I was on the phone with my bff in NRW when Aretha came out and we both, simultaneously, said "What a Fabulous Hat!"
LOL that hat is amazing!
Amen.
That hat made me smile! It sparkles!!!
I had teh innauguration playing today from 11:30-12:15 so we did catch Aretha. A few of the kids were giggling at her hat until one BOY stands up and goes..."wait a minute, I know her!! R-E-S-P-E-C-T find out what it means for me!!" This is also the boy who wrote all of the lyrics to Africa as a journal entry. I thought he was pretty profound until I got to the chorus and better recognized it!! Ha!
This post cracked me up (and so did that hat!)
Loved her hat too
So true! I love it. Work it, Aretha! I told my boss that I thought the art of hat-wearing was dead. Where are all the fedoras and caps? Where are all the crazy ladies'daytime hats and hair ornaments? I wanna bring it back! Granted, my hair is not hat-friendly. The curls tend to pop all hats right off of my head. I'm willing to flat-iron if it means I can wear a good hat. But still...anyone want to start a movement with me?
Girlfriend if I didn't have an enormous head that precluded me from wearing fabulous hats I would be right there with you!
P.S. I am psyched to hang with you this weekend! Party up!
yeah, baby! love it!
It was like my Christmas gift came late this year. No one does a hat like a sistah!
Only Aretha could get away with wearing that hat. Loved it!
The first thing I did this morning was search for a pic of the First Lady's inauguration ball gown. Gorgeousness! Anyway, I can't wait to see you and Adam on Saturday. Get ready for some Tiki and tropical drinks! (o:
I love to wear hats. I'm not sure I could pull one like the one Aretha is wearing off, but she sure pulls it off. Go Aretha!
It was indeed fab and first lady was working it!
