Why I Kind of Hate Macys.com

Because they send me tempting emails like this

That showcase fabulous things I suddenly find myself needing like THAT awesome green bowling ball carrier-looking bag

And yet there is no way to find it. It's not a link so if you click on it, it isn't like "HERE IS WHERE YOU CAN BUY THIS AND HOW MUCH IT IS" and in the handbag section of Macys.com there I can't find it ANYWHERE.

And this is not the first time I have gotten an email ad with no direction on how to find some of the things in the ad. I once spent a good chunk of the morning tracking down a zebra printed bag that was in one of their email ads only to find it was Dooney and Bourke (sigh) and about $500 more than I wanted to spend (sigh sigh sigh).

Come on Macy's! I love you and shop at you relentlessly so why taunt me? Help a bag-hungry gal out! (Or if any of you recognize it and know where I can find it please help. I. Must. Have. It)

OH HAI indeed. That's a fly bag. It looks like Lacoste? Let me do some digging...

Only because I love your blog so much will I tell you that a salesperson told me that the bag can easily be found in stores. I got that same email and loved the bag AND the crochet dress....so I called and asked (because I refused to look at every handbag). LOL

Good luck!

Wait, really? Is it definitely Lacoste?

It looks like a DvF boarding bag. Check out the luggage section.

That green dress is fabulous! I hate ads because they make everything look AMAZING. I run to the store, try on the advertised item and, on me, it usually looks like someone poured oatmeal into a tube sock. Lol. Damn.

Yeah, it's definitely a DvF boarding bag - the "solid hearts" collection. That green must be new for spring/summer because I can only find it in fuchsia and olive green. Maybe they carry it in the Macys store?

M + E = I think you guys are right. I am going to Macy's tonight to further investigate - I will report back!

Another good reason to hit Macy's today is that it's the first day of Clinique's Bonus Time!!!

It is in NH, anyway. I have school tonight, but you can bet I'll be there tomorrow after work!

OHHh you must post pictures when the bag is secured.... I too hate these emails, I get them (or the one that bugs me most) is from DSW with FABULOUS shoes on them and then they are still not online so I can not order them and the store is 1 hour away!!

I just unsubscribed from their e-mails because I was receiving about 3 a day... so no Macy's temptation for me!

Yes, it is a DVF bag. I have it.
Here's the secret: TJ Maxx and Marshalls sells them!!

My 2 friends have the orange and pink ones!

Trust me, I wasn't paying $250 for a bowling-ball bag. I paid $75. I think. It was a few years ago.

I have a DvF bag like that one except mine has a little bit of pink on the outside edge of the white. I got it 2 or 3 years ago for less than $100 on sale in the luggage dept. I only use it as a carry-on.
