Between You and Me.....

In the world of cinematic fantasy men, this is who does it for me:

Dudes I could not care less about Star Wars (yes I enjoyed it when I was young but that's where the allegiance ends) but Hayden Christensen as a young Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith? Good lord. Whenever it is on TV I watch it.

In the interest of full disclosure I must also say that while I never would consider myself a Brad Pitt fan in general, his role as Tristan in Legends of the Fall also falls in the category of Does It For Me

And since we are being honest, before him it was (brace yourselves now), Alan Rickman as Sheriff Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves

I am telling you, in real life I love the clean cut boys but on screen? I apparently like them unkempt and with a bit of an evil streak.

I know everyone has some kind of movie crush, and while mine might be weird that will not stop me from asking you all to tell me your movie boyfriends/girlfriends and hopefully someone can beat Alan Rickman.

I can't even believe I'm "confessing" this... Alan Cumming in Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion.

The stone throwing may now commence.

ahhhhh YES!! this is what I want to hear. That is amazing.

It's no secret - I'm totally in lust over George Clooney. However, *sigh* a little Stuart Townsend action would suffice in the event that Clooney was not available.

Boring, I know.

There are only two movie stars who really melt my butter ... George Clooney and John Cusack.

Captain John Luke Picard of the USS Starship Enterprise. And (omg) Dick Van Dyke but only in Mary Poppins and Bye Bye Birdie.

God I am so weird.

AHAHAHA i hope my friend Jeanne reads that. I think you guys have the same taste in movie men!

Lori said...

Ahh Ed Burns from the Brothers McMullen makes me swoon. And I have a strange affection for Orlando Bloom as Legolas in Lord of the Rings.

Krista said...

Sarah said...

looloo, i had a co-worker in chicago who had a total thing for patrick stewart. we mocked her mercilessly for it :)

i'm trying to think of any odd celeb predilictions i have...i used to love Harold Reynolds on baseball tonight, until he got busted for being a creepy old man. movie wise...while not totally unruly, mark ruffalo in You Can Count on Me was quite the thing to behold IMHO :)

Jeremy Piven, Ben Kingsley, Gary Oldman (Dracula).

Sarah said...

YES add Dracula- Gary Oldman to my list. Blue shaded Lennon glasses do it for me.

Paul Bettany & Russell Crowe but only in Master and Commander. Other than that I have no interest in actors/actresses. Weird no? On the TV front I am in love with Ice-T and also Ludacris as a guest star on Law and Order. Now that's odd.

Now if we are talking celebrity athletes I could go to town on that subject.

Kevin Bacon is an awesome bad guy. Especially in Wild things. But my fav bad guy is a tie between Megatron and Starscream in the 80s animated Transformers movie. "Such heroic nonsense." BzzTHRWUBBB!

Oh wait, were we talking about hotties? Oops.

Sarah said...

martini, my first EVER celebrity crush was in 1st grade and it was a GO BOT.

so yes, i can relate a little.

I think the first movie star crush that I got really into was Val Kilmer in Willow. By really into I mean I was writing Libby + Val all over my trapper-keeper and that sort of thing.

Um, hi. I totally love Alan Rickman as Professor Snape. I want him to do very bad things to me in the potions classroom.

Did I just share too much?

ALSO, I was in love with Richard Marx. I'm talking 1980's, power ballad, Richard Marx. I loved him so fiercely!

Sarah said...

I think I should amend it to Alan Rickman in general. Love Actually, Dogma, Sense and Sensibility (swoon!), etc. the man is just FINE.

Lori: Orlando Bloom as Legolas in Lord of the Rings is mine too!

AAh.

Christian Bale, especially in American Psycho. Aidan Quinn also does it for me. Colin Farrell only in Miami Vice. Viggo Mortensen (the blouse man in A Walk on the Moon anyone?)

Krista said...

Christian Bale, in American Psycho. yes yes yes!

haha, I am still laughing at Alan Rickman! Does he do it for you in the Harry Potter movies?

I agree on the rustic/disheveled types, theres something about them that is so alluring. I must say though, I am still stuck on Christian Bale, yum.

Ps- to kim, I adore Kevin James as well!

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Does it for me every time!

Sarah said...

I havent seen the Harry Potter movies but I would assume so, yes. The man is a fox. Don't deny it!

Krista - ahahaha the men never understand.

Stacey said...

OK - my two cents. I second hairy Brad Pitt (Legends of the Fall), Alan Rickman (particularly in Love Actually), and Orlando Bloom as Legolas.

My kinda weird one? Mr. Sam Elliott, especially in Tombstone. That deep voice of his just gives me the shivers!

Sarah said...

oh hot damn stacey i forgot about tombstone! Virgil is DEFINITELY another forgotten hottie. good call.

Sisters with Style said...

OK--Jerry Seinfeld (I know he isn't in movies but I have the hots for him) and Leonardo DiCaprio in the departed---very very hot.

Anonymous said...

Umm, ok....

Apparently no one else thinks Alan Cumming from Romy and Michelle was drool-worthy.

I now feel like a dumbass.

Sarah said...

no way!!!

I love that guy for whatever reason, Office Space - hello! Greatest movie ever! (and he was good in SATC, but I was in *love* before)

Britt said...

I love the eighties - and I'm obsessed with eighties movies and even though he has brought his career to Lifetime, I love Andrew McCarthy! I thought he was so adorable in his eighties pastel gear.

I heart Kevin James as well!

Tim Daly and Billy Campbell for my TV hunks. I'll watch whatever crap they're doing just for eye candy.

I can totally beat Alan Rickman - when I was a little girl all the way up through adulthood I had a mad crush on Roy Scheider in Jaws. Yes, Roy Scheider. I also once had a Jerry Seinfeld thing, and a Jeff Goldblum thing. Apparently I'm drawn to middle aged Jewish men.

Brad Pitt in that movie is probably the most beautiful human being I've ever seen. I loved that character so much that I said if I had another son, I'd name him Tristan because Brad Pitt alone made me have a whole new appreciation for the name.

My television LOVE is Tom Welling.
Oh. My.

Edward Burns is probably the most regular guy who's an actor that I like. Denis Leary is hot too. I've got a thing for Irish guys. ;)

Sarah said...

I have thought that too, about the name "Tristan" and then I just saw the version of "Tristan and Isolde" with James Franco playing Tristan and I think the deal is sealed.

sigh!

I also want Alan Rickman as Professor Snape to do very naughty things to me.. I think I think about it much too often.. be that as it may, Alan Rickman is GORGEOUS.

Anonymous said...

I am so ashamed (but its anonymous, so here goes). At all ages, Michael Cain does the trick for me..

a bit more redeeming, but Tim Curry is one fine piece of man as well (excluding his role as 'It', because that sht is creepy)

Anonymous said...

Olivier Martinez - especially as Gabriel in Blood and Chocolate!

- Julie°

(okay, i'm way too late but couldn't ignore this XD)

Jason Isaacs as lucius malfoy!
