Long Weekend All I Ever Wanted
Long weekend in the house! What what!
(I'm a little excited, can you tell?)
We have big plans around these parts. Our fabulous friends Nicky and PJ are getting married tomorrow so we are making a weekend of it! We booked ourselves into our fave hotel in downtown Manchester, NH for a few days of fun! Our plans include dinners out with friends, one spectacular wedding and reception, a hockey playoff game (Not my idea, but who can say no to a man on crutches? Not me), and a trip to the Kittery outlets. Not a bad way to spend a long weekend if you ask me!
In a related story, I no longer know how to pack. Having not gone on a mini vaca since last summer AND not gone on a REAL vaca in like two years I have no idea what is appropriate and what is not. Hopefully three dresses, a skirt and two tops and a pair of pants, four pairs of shoes and two handbags is appro for a long weekend.
And a laptop.
And a few bottles of wine and a bag of Cape Cod potato chips.
And all my makeup.
And my curling iron and flat iron.
And you know I will probably forget something essential like bras. That is just how my life works!

my husband thinks I am retarded, but I make a list 2 days before packing for a trip. Then I have time to add things I forgot throughout the packing process. Now I have one master list that stays in my suitcase.
Yay for a mini vacay!! Sounds like a lot of fun! Enjoy. :-)
Me? Yeah, I have to work 6 hours of internship (unpaid), but I DO have a date!! WOOOO!!! And laundry. Not so wooo.
ha! i'm kind of the exact opposite and i underpack. wear the same clothes for days. anyway, have so much fun in nh and at the wedding! i'm sure you will <3 danielle
HAVE FUN!!! you deserve it!
I travel all the time and I can never pack either. There's always something different about the trips or what I am doing on the trip that makes it impossible to compare to last time.
Plus, you never know when you're going to be in the mood for those fabulous red shoes that you DIDN'T bring along. But hey, if you're going by car, does it really matter anyway?
that is one of my most hated feelings, when you forget that ONE pair of shoes or ONE bag or ONE whatever that would have been perfect!!
I say if you are driving then be indulgent and pack every little thing you desire. I love driving to Newport because I can bring a whole suitcase of shoes!
Have a great weekend.
I usually make a list of outfits and then throw in some fun items when I pack. Have fun this weekend.
WOMAN!
I need to send you an e-mail and I think I only have an old work address for you. Hit me up at klo21@columbia.edu.

Have a ball Sarah! I hope you do a lot of dancing at the wedding, a lot of cheering at the hockey game, and a lot of shopping at the outlets!
I am the worst packer in the world! I always over pack in such a major way. I just don't want to be left with a wardrobe issue where ever we go! Have fun at the wedding! What are you wearing?
Thanks girl!!
I wore a tan, cream and dark brown version of this dress

and a light blue pashmina + cream clutch!
I like the idea of a master list!! Wow - but overpacking is normal - it's a gal's right :) One just never knows when you need that *perfect* eyeshadow/ *perfect* top, those *hot* shoes, etc.
Just make sure to pack a pair of flats ... AND HAVE FUN!
Manchvagas! Love it. hope you had a ball!
