break it down
It is 5am and i have not slept yet.
adam had an accident at his hockey game last night and broke his ankle. not only did he break it, but it is the worst internal break the orthopedic surgeonhere at the lahey hopital has ever seen.
he is having surgery in a few hours so please keep him in your thoughts.
he is super unhappy as you can imagine,sick from pain meds and in a whole world of pain.
but hey, our private room has internet and cable so it could be worse.
we will be here for a few days. send beer and porn per adam

I guess nothing gets the healing process jump-started better than beer and porn, eh? Hang in there, I'm sure he'll be back on the ice (or in the net?) before you know it. Get some sleep if you can and please keep us posted.
I'll keep Adam in my prayers for a speedy recovery. Take care of yourselves and keep us posted on his condition.
I'll keep you both in my thoughts. I hope he stays nice and medicated until the healing begins. Thanks for yet another reason I don't want my kids to play hockey! :)

Oh yikes. That's awful, poor Adam. But he's definitely got his priorities straight even in the hospital.
Looking on the bright side though how awesome about the internet and cable. When I had Charlotte I was in the hospital for 7 long nights sans both. Sucked.

Hope everything goes well with the surgery and he is fast on the road to recovery. As someone who just had foot surgery Friday, all I can say is pain meds are my best friend.

I suppose that this would be a very indelicate time for me to mention that he should milk his scrip for all it's worth. But then again, this is also the girl who, three days after his wisdom teeth came out, urged her husband to call the doctor and demand more percoset, so you know. I gotta be me.
Hope he is back on his feet again soon. Take care of yourself.
