A Tory Love Affair

I have been in sweet love with the Tory Burch "Reva" flats since December when I first got an email from Moxie announcing their imminent arrival.

And the arrival of new colors like cherry red and silver at Stil this week has just made me fall harder.

I really think that flats convey a kind of effortless chic-ness that you just can't get from wearing high heels. Don't get me wrong, I love my high heels. But there is something so non-confrontational about a really stylish flat. If shoes speak (and let's face it, to a lot of us they do) a 4 inch platform high heeled pumps say "LOOK AT ME I AM SEXY" and of course there is a time and a place for that. But a stylish flat is much more "Yeah, I'm chic. What about it?".

I think I know what I am getting myself for my birthday (in 6 days, might I add).

Since switching from a fast-paced, all-about-appearances PR job to a super-casual magazine gig I have finally embraced the flat. At 5'1" it was bound to take a while.

Happy early birthday!!!

I love my heels, but there is something very Audrey Hepbrun-ish and casual chic about flats.
