What I am into this week.

1) Reed Diffusers.

Basically the essential oil in the bottle is diffused in to the air slowly over time via the little wooden reeds you place inside. I saw these at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago, and then when Roxanna over at Everyday Treats wrote about them I knew I had to check them out. Luckily I snagged a really pretty set at Pier One last week, in a scent called "Mintini" which is a cool, minty, herbal-y scent that I LOVE and is perfect for the summer. I currently have one in the living room and intend to pick up another smaller one for the bathroom. They are really scented beautifully, not too strong but not faint either. Just a lovely background scent that you don't have to worry about leaving unattended. They are sold at Pier One in many different scents for $12 to $15, and they have larger ones suitable for larger spaces at Marshall's and TJ Maxx for $19.99.

2)Talbot's Semi Annual Sale

The skirts alone are reason enough to check out the sale.

Their coton tie front skirts are perfect for summer-at-work. They look long in that picture, but they fall to just below the knee, are light and swingy and on sale for $26. They also have a TON of pretty, patterned cotton skirts in a myriad of fun, summery prints on sale marked down AT LEAST 40%. And don't get me started on the SHOES, most of which are on sale in the $30 range. And Italian calfskin. And REALLY really cute.

3) Limoncello Martinis

I picked up a bottle of limoncello over the weekend and plan on serving these cocktails at a small dinner party I am having tomorrow. I think it would be REALLY cute to find those lemon fuit candies (you know the ones, the candy that looks like sugared thin fruit slices...) and garnish each glass with one of those, instead of an actual piece of lemon.

Limoncello Martini
3 fluid ounces vodka
1 fluid ounce limoncello
1 teaspoon confectioner's sugar

Fill a shaker with ice, add all the ingredents, shake and strain into martini glass. garnish with candied lemon

4) Dr. Scholls Pedicure Essentials Ultra Overnight Cream

Since I am trying to limit my pedicures to (at the most) twice a month, I need something hardcore to help me along. I wear sandals all the time and my feet tend to be dry, even with my daily morning moisture routine. On Sunday afternoon I slathered my feet in these, donned a pair of Adam's white socks (Sorry, Adam!) and watched Legends of the Fall while my feet happily hydrated. When I took them off after the movie, my feet felt great and STILL feel and look great today. I know some people do this overnight but I can't sleep with socks on. So my little sock & movie treatment works just fine for me.
