i think i may have made a blogger of my brother.

Peter usually casts a withering glance on things that i find funny and/or interesting to do such as reading, traveling, being a productive member of society (ha!), and up until last night you could have counted "blogging" on that list.

but the tables have turned.

Last night I went to my parents' house for dinner, and I brought up the fact that Bizrate.com had contacted me about my blog and offered to pay me a monthly fee in exchange for my putting an ad and link to their site in my blog. I, of course, eagerly accepted. And as soon as the word "monthly fee" was out of my mouth last night, my brother's ears perked up like my parents' dog when he hears the W word.

"So, you can make money off of blogs?" he asked incredulously (Peter's only knowledge of the blogging world is that it can get you fired).

I told him that sometimes, yes. Not neccessarily a lot most of the time (like in my case)....but some people live off of the ads they have on their sites and make a damn good living at that.

"I have to get in on this". he said. And then he started asking me about Blogger, and how it works, and what is entailed.

"This is so cool. We can be like a brother and sister team and make BANK!"

(and here is where our differences become more tangible)

Peter: We'll be famous like.....who is that famous couple?
Me: Donny and Marie!
Peter: Hannity and Colmes!

So in the very near future, we may be subject to the witty blog-ramblings of the man who wrote a paper in 9th grade about World War 3, in which the World is engaged in battle against Lebanon and Lebanon wins, and renames our planet "Earth Abdul Jabbar".

You know you can't wait.
