A few months ago, I threw a wildly successful Tupperware party and ended up getting loads of Tupperware thanks to the generosity of those who attended the party, and my own neverending obsession with buying anything that falls under the category "kitchen stuff". And as the gifting season is upon us, I thought I would share with you the most indespensable item I have gotten from Tupperware, in case anyone out there needs a gift idea for a kitchen nerd like me.
Allow me to introduce you to the Quick Chef. Now, I have a dissapointing lack of counter space in my kitchen. Since the counter space is small, everything I would normally store on a counter has been relegated to cabinets (which I don't have many of, either). As such, I have a miniscule amount of space for appliances like Kitchen Aid Mixers (sigh) and Food Processors. Which is why I don't own either of those appliances (sigh). But I have found the solution to all my food processing woes in the Quick Chef.
It's non electric which means you can process anywhere: the counter, the kitchen table, the coffee table in the living room. And while the non electric part might make you think it's hard to use , it's not at all. The blade attachment is super strong and the crank is ergonomic so with a few turns, you have finely chopped basil for pesto or finely chopped tomatos and onions for salsa. I have even made a delicious chicken salad in this bad boy. And clean up is no muss no fuss. It's dishwasher safe, super easy to take apart and put back together. I feel like every week I find a new use for it and it takes the same amount of storage space as a large bowl. I keep mine on top of the fridge. It also comes with a mixer attachement for blending and a snap on spout so you can pour a liquid into whatever you are processing without taking the lid off.

Seriously, it's the best kitchen gadget ever for someone who doesn't need/have room for a huge food processer with all the bells and whistles.
And if you are interested in ordering one, or having your own Tupperware party (which is a blast!) then feel free to contact my tupperware rep Lisa who is the BEST and will take good care of you.
And no, I do not work for Tupperware nor do I get a kickback for this promotion...I just seriously love me some Tupp!
(And if anyone has any must have kitchen gadgets of their own I would love to hear about it since it's always fun to feed an obsession, especially a shopping to kitchen related one!)

It's nice to meet another kitchen gadget queen. Let me share my latest joy. Flexible cutting mats that are color and symbol coded for proper food hygiene. I first saw them at Sur La Table (heaven) but ended up buying them at Target! They have a pack with separate ones for fish, chicken, meat and veggies. But perhaps everyone isn't as anal as I am. ;)
those sound fantastic!! i will have to check them out. and i LOOOOVVVEEE Sur La Table. Pricey, but so gorgeous. sigh.
i have one of those non-tupperware versions of that chopper thing.
It rocks.
Salsa in 2.5 seconds.
I'm just a big fan of my garlic press... so much easier than trying to finely chopp garlic for 20 minutes.
