I mentioned earlier that I was definitely in the holiday spirit. Well, from the looks of things today I am one of the ONLY ones. Allow me to offer some proof.
Exhibit A
I was in the parking lot of Shaws on my lunch break, and normally I don't care that much about parking super close to the entrance, but it just so happened that a van was pulling out from a front spot so I figured why not wait a minute and snag that space. So, i back up to give the van ample space to back up, put on my blinker and i wait. About 15 seconds later the passenger waves to me to keep going, which I assumed was because they were staying put for a while, so I drove on and then I saw in my rearview that they were pulling out! wtf! how rude!
Exhibit B
Once I finished business at Shaws, I drove to CVS. I was making my way into the store when a lady I passed stopped and said "You must not be from around here" which in general I find to be a rude thing to say in most social situations, nevermind to a stranger in passing. "What do you mean?" I asked. She pointed to my shoes, my black and white pointy toed heels, and said "No true New Englander would wear shoes like that in weather like this" she snorted. Um, it's 40 degrees out and most byways and parking lots are plowed and ice free and regardless of that, i will pretty much wear what I damn please. Instead, i said to her "Actually I was born and raised here, and I learned never to let a little weather get in the way of style.". Bitch.
Exhibit C
This one may be my own slight humbuggery coming through, but there was a lady in CVS who was coughing her brains out and WOULD NOT COVER HER MOUTH. i don't just mean a delicate rasp here and there. This lady was full on hacking profusely huge amounts of phlegm and lung matter and in between bouts of nastiness just stood in line calm and cool as though she hadn't just infested us all with her disgusting snotty germs. And no amount of dirty looks from those of us in her trajetory could compell her to cover her mouth. Again, I ask you, WTF?

Exhibit A: WAY rude!!
Exhibit B: Why do little old ladies feel the need to let us know their opinion about everything?
Exhibit C: Eww! That's disgusting. I hate people like that. I would've turned around and sneezed on her....without covering my mouth.
ugh, I have no sympathy for sick people when they sneeze and cough all over me... they obviously don't care that they're going to make me sick!! And is it just me, or does the sound of anyone coughing just drive you up the damn wall?
