does anyone remember that part in Jerry Maguire, when Regina King's character is like "i'm pregnant - and i'm incapable of bullshit!!"

well anyway. i am not pregnant, but i think we all know that i am incapable of bullshit! especially in the morning before my second cup of coffee.

a woman called me this morning and was VERY impatient considering that 1) she didn't know the name of the law firm she was calling to ask me about and 2) didn't know the location of it, and since I deal with SEVERAL different law firms 3) i could not really give her the kind of answers she wanted since i had no idea what she was talking about.

her response to my advising her that she should find out the name or location of the law firm and then call me back?

"you know, if you're answering the phone you should really know your business."

my response?

"thanks for the career advice!". click.

(i should note, she is not a client. just a woman who always calls me for directory assistance because she finds the whole process of using the yellow pages to be way too difficult, apparently)

i was kind of hoping she would call back and cuss me out since i am raring for a fight this morning. but then my second cup of coffee kicked in and i felt pretty ambivalent about the whole thing. good times.
