maybe it's just because i'm a tall girl myself, but i really love when i find out that a female celebrity who i thought was short (as most female celebrities are) is actually tall
you go, Joan Allen!! tall girls unite!
and while we are on the subject.. i have a bone to pick with you, The Limited.
you and i used to get along really well! your "Long" sized pants were actually long on me (a novelty when each of your legs are 42 inches long from hip to toe) so yes, The Limited, you were a good friend to me for a while.
then, for some reason, we stopped communicating. and now, you seem to think that i have the ability to shrink, because your "Long" pants are now about 1.5 to 2 inches shorter than they used to be.
this is unnacceptable.
perhaps the high water look is in, unbeknownst to me. perhaps you have decided that catering to the crowd with a 34 length inseam is not that cool anymore. regardless, i am very dissapointed.
i do still love your shirts and skirts though. so we can still hang out, but i will probably say mean things about you behind your back.
sorry.

SARAH! I have the SAME bone to pick with the Limited!! I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS bought "regular" length pants and now they are TOO SHORT. Now I have to buy long. ME. Shorty McShort!
Ditto Ann Taylor, I went in there to get a few pairs of work pants since they were having winter clearance, and they had some "tall"s that were at least an inch too short. I too have the 34 inch inseam, as does my husband who is 6'2 - I'm tall, but not *that* tall!

i'm 5'9 with a 34' inseam and my dad is 6'2 with the same inseam. i clearly have no torso ;-)
weird. i didn't think of you as being tall. i didn't realize i had your height imagined at all until i caught myslef thinking "wait a minute, she's TALL?" anyways, i have the opposite problem. express pretty much did away with lengths and everything good is design studio which only comes in one length and it's too damn long.
it's so nice to hear from another tall girl with the same complaints as mine - seriously - every freaking supermodel in the world is 7'8" but all clothes are made for people 5'2" - no, I'm not saying that I'm a supermodel, but it's a darn good thing I don't have cankles because my pants wouldn't cover them - we're all in trouble if capris and floods go out of style...
I think it's part of a conspiracy. If tall women have to wear skirts instead of pants, then that makes it easier for short men to ...
;)

garrison!!! :-P
I am 5’10 with a 36 inseam, well actually I can do a 34, but a 36 looks better. Shopping for pants is hell!! I actually have a pair of Capri’s that I bought at Express. I really liked them until I realized that they are supposed to be pants. All in all, I think they were better looking as capri’s anyway.
