Henri Bendel always reminds me of this time when i was about 13, and went to New York City for the weekend with my mom, her best friend and her daughter who was my best friend. We went to the HB on 5th Avenue to get some kind of facial lotion..and when it came time to pay, my mom accidentally gave the salesperson her hotel keycard instead of her credit card.
"Ma'am," he said, "I'm flattered but I don't think my boss would approve".

Ok, since I am a shopper like you to the Nth degree, I appreciated your Macy's story SO MUCH!
I love the Bendel's candles at Bath/Body Works. I have probably 3 in my house right now. I especially love the black current one, it smells IDENTICAL to the Baies scent from Diptyque, for less than 1/2 the price. Excellent!
I am in the love with some Henri Bendel perfume. I love the candles as well.
