i am going to drag spring in kicking and screaming if i have to. i was the only person on the train wearing open-toed shoes. people are still wearing wool coats and scarves! it's spring, people! i don't care what the thermometer says! bust out the crop pants and kitten-heeled sandals!

to continue with my flower-saga from yesterday. i called up louis barry florists yesterday to tell them of my floral woes. i spoke with a rather supercillious woman who informed me that it was perfectly natural that my daffodils died after 3 days because "bulbs don't last that long, you know.", i told her i didn't know, and why would i spend money on a plant if i knew it would die in 3 days? she told me that everyone knew that bulbs didn't last long. Sorry honey, i wanted to say, but i am not a florist. my ambitions are set a little higer than that. (oh shnap!). just kidding. but i got off the phone feeling slighlt dejected at having been condescended to by a florist. Janet from Three's Company would never have treated me that way.

So one of the gentlemen i work with decided that this was not going to do. So he called up miss Floral Thang and told her that he is a a Broker located on Newbury St, and he was thinking about changing florists so he had sent his daughter (moi) over to Louis Barry to pick up some daffodils, and so on and so forth. He told them there HAD to be a mistake because he KNOWS that this is not the way business is conducted. He told them he was very dissapointed, and that he would be letting others in this area know about his dealings with LB FLorists. To make a long story short. I not only got a brand new set of flowers (gorgeous sun flowers!) but i got a full refund as well.

i love liars, they always get what they want.
