happy september!!

i, like erin, welcome the advent of this glorious month. so long August! kiss my ass, Summer!
i consider summer to be officially over. yes, i am going to the beach this weekend in a last ditch effort to get a tan, but i have pumpkins and apple picking and halloween and leaves changing color on my mind.

Autumn is my favorite season. i love everything about it. it includes my two favorite holidays: halloween and thankgiving. AND it contains the christmas season which i love far more than the actual day of Christmas. AND it means going apple picking and making apple pie and drinking fresh apple cider and carving pumpkins and leaf-peeping day trips to Vermont and cosutme parties and Oktoberfest and looking over the marsh across from my apartment and seeing the trees turn from green to golden and fiery orange and ruby red and it means good hair days for WEEKS at a time and wearing pima cotton scarves and wool-blend cardigans and earth-toned suede pumps.

sigh.

i'm so into it.

I like the fall too... crisp, dry air is much better for curls than that oppressive summer humidity! ;)

I hear you, my ringletted soul sistah.

Lunch tomorrow?

I love the fall as well. My favorite smell has to be that of a soccer field on a crisp fall afternoon. Weird, I know.

as much as I love fall, I am not loving everyone posting about September 1 and reminding me that my rent is due and that I don't have the money to pay it.

Am totally with you. Fall couldn't get here fast enough for me. Bring on the spicey smells and crisp, cool days!

Wow, I wish I felt the same way you Northerners do. I love Fall, but September is a different animal in Georgia. I love Sept for the start of College Football Season (even though I will be busier than I have ever been due to my job) and the eventual temperature change, but we're looking at sweltering temps into late Sept, early October. We sweat our asses off at football games... I remember it snowing on Halloween when I lived in Buffalo, NY... I loved that.
