today was a very good day.
adam and i both had the day off, due to snow, so we spent most of the morning drinking dunks' coffee in bed and playing Uno and watching morning Springer and Maury.
even though we had a day off from work due to snow, it really was not so bad out that one couldn't, say, go shopping all day.
so we were out for most of the day...we ended up getting alot of "stuff" for the kitchen. you know you are a cool person when you find yourself saying to the sales associate at Linens -N- Things "you know, i am really into cannisters lately".
but then again, i don't pretend to be cool anymore. i used to get psyched about the perfect martini, now i am psyched about the perfect placemat:
want to hear about some more coolness? i rotate our placemats with our front door decoration. for instance: in the fall we have "autumn leave" themed linen placemats and taupe napkins with a leaf/scarecrow wreath on the front door. in december we have a christmas wreath, and snowmen placemats with christmas plaid napkins...and now being valentine season we have the above placemats with a red wooden heart hanging out front.
i swear to god, if i nested anymore i would lay a goddamn egg.
i like it though. ;-)

Heh. We spent a good long time in Linens & Things on Saturday afternoon ourselves, ending up with the holy grail of coat racks (isn't that sad?) and some new super comfy jersey sheets for our bed. I could have spent at least another hour in there!

i love jersey sheets! we just bought a set from Target and they are so soft and comfy...it makes getting out of bed twice as hard as usual!
