so, i am getting a new pet today.

due to the anality of my landlord regarding pets of any kind, this particular pet will be the scaley-with-fins variety. i am psyched though. the aquarium i picked out is very pretty, with built in lights and filter and a swanky blue top.

i feel like i am either heading in the betta direction. because they are
1) pretty
2) extremely low maintenance.

which is really all i ask of my pets, that they look good, and don't require too much effort on my part.

so tonight, danielle is coming over and we are heading to PetCo to get fishy stuff for me and kitty stuff for her, then we are going back to my place for a night of pad thai and Sex and the City Season Two and looking at my new fish who i am thinking of naming Briscoe, if he looks like a Briscoe. good times.

also: if any of you have any fish reccomendations, stories or other ideas for other low maintenance pets that can be kept in a cage/bowl and are not furry, then by all means advise me please.

i let my class have a beta fish last semester and i took him home over xmas break to feed him.
well, i walked downstairs one morning and there was all this water on the table and my cats were sitting there licking their paws.

so now? there's no more fluffy. :(

I once had a pet cactus.

What does it say when you're so bad you can kill a cactus?
