Supah Smaht

For the past few weeks I have noticed an odd jingling sound coming from my car speakers.

It only occured when the music was turned up pretty loud which, because of my deaf ass, was pretty often. And it seemed to occur only on the drivers side speakers.

When I turned the music down to get a better listen, it disappeared.

And I tell you there is nothing more disconcerting than trying to rock out to a little Nat King Cole and having that GD jingling ruining the moment.

Then I had an epiphany yesterday, on the way home. A moment of clarity that came to me, as they so often do, as I sat in belligerent traffic on the Southeastern Expressway.

When the music is loud in my car, I am usually singing along.

And kind of dancing along.

And my KNEE was kitting my KEYS.

Hence the jangle.

!!!!

And that, my friends, is a classic Sarah moment. I may have the book smarts but the street smarts (or car smarts, as it were)? Not so much.

That happens to me and it winds up being my change cup and car vibrations.

A few weeks ago I thought my GPS device was getting interference from semi trucks or something. I kept hearing this strange sound and that was the only electronic device on. Then I found my husband's phone under the seat and it was me calling him incessantly wondering why he wasn't picking up the phone.
