Signal in the City
You know those ubiquitous "Single?" signs? The little white signs with "www.whatevertownyouareinsingles.com" that are usually found around highway off and on ramps?
Yesterday on my way home I caught sight of one near Exit 17 off the Pike in Newton. At first glance it looked normal but a closer look cracked me up.
I was resolved to get a photo of it so this morning I went a different way to work so I would have cause to drive by it. This particular exit is usually a maelstrom of people who have no idea what lane they should be in and bad behavior like not signaling, cutting people off and taking up two lanes is usually rewarded by not being stuck behind the guy in the right lane who wants to cut across 4 lanes of traffic and be in the left line. So this sign was particularly apt.
Oh and on the "people who have no idea what lane they should be in" tip, though it was quite easy to quickly snap the photo with my phone since there is a yield sign right there where you (usually, if you are a good person) have to stop anyway, I then proceeded to be in the wrong lane and didn't notice until I was accidentally back on the Pike, and had to drive up another exit to get off and meander through much of Newton back to my office.
But still, if you got a kick out of it - it was worth it!

If that is a hint that you want me to buy you a "Honk if you're Horny" bumper sticker, consider it done.

I am just now seeing this post - love it, especially since I now live in MetroWest where to live here apparently you must commit to driving like a total a-hole!
Awesomeness. Thank you for the trouble it took to grab that snap.
