Pink Shoe Cookbook
It's been a while but here we are again with another Adventure in Odd Meats over at The Pink Shoe Cookbook! This time there are cranberries involved because you know what? They are festive and I am just in a festive kind of mood. When festivity and odd meat can combine to form a great meal - well that is just my kind of good time.
And on the cooking tip, Adam and I are on the hunt for kickass knives. Our recent experience has taught us that Miracle Blades? Ain't no miracle. Unless the miracle is when a knife breaks off in a potato. In any case any suggestions on brands, sets, steak knives, one fantastic knife you love are welcome and encouraged. Thanks!

J.A. Henckel's knives are really good, and usually not too expensive.
if you want to spend a bit of money on knives, I'm all about Wusthof knives (or however you spell it....) My mom has a set and I feel like an Iron chef when I chop things! (right up to almost slicing my finger off ;-)
YES my parents have those too and rave about them. They are a little pricey BUT apparently they also last forever. I am definitely looking into it.
I'll keep you posted with what I find on Wusthof. However, I know I adore my Global knives. One of the best investments I ever made. And really, you only need what - 3/4 knives - Santuku/Chef; Paring; Serrated/Bread and a smaller chef knife, right?
We have Henckels. I think they have two little men on them. The 'rents have Wusthof and like them as well. Both brands are well worth the money - if you care for them right they'll last you well beyond the point where you're no longer in any shape to be wielding sharp objects.
Good luck!
