This About Sums Up My Week
A few times a week on my lunch break, I stop at the drive-thru Burger King near my work and get a large diet coke. I think we have discussed my affinity for fountain soda and I usually don't take my lunch until after 1PM so there is never a line. Just scoot through and in less than a minute I have a huge container of calorie free caffeinated awesomeness.
So today I go up to the speaker, place my order and then drive around to the Please Pay at The First Window, give them my money and then drive on through out of the parking lot and back to my office.
Please note, I did not stop at the Second Window to actually pick up my soda. Just paid and went back to work.
I didn't even notice until I was thinking "How am I going to carry my soda, my shopping bag and my handbag back into the office" when I realized Oh Shit, no soda!
D'oh.
And I tell you for a second I was too embarrassed to go back. But you know what, whatever. I need that drink. And I sacrificed a Mass Pike TOLL dollar to get it (I like to keep a few ones in my cup holder for that purpose). So I drove on back and this time (of course!) there was a line at the drive thru but I just parked next to the person at the window and got the clerk's attention. She of course was laughing the hell out loud as she handed me my forgotten drink and I can't say I blame her.

Yeah, I am the girl that usually leaves her bag full of goodies at the Walgreens register!
Glad I'm not alone.
Strange. I walked out of the store today without my 20 oz. Diet Coke. I would have been heartbroken if not for the cashier chasing behind me.
seriously there is just something off about this week!
We all do it sometimes. At least it can put a smile on our face if you are having a tough day.
Totally sounds like something I would do!!
I laughed out loud. Really. Laughing. Out. Loud.
I worked at Burger King in high school and later, during college, I worked at McDonalds. This probably happened 10 or 12 times to me--customers would pay and then drive off, not just without a drink, but leaving behind whole bags full of food. Sometimes they never came back!
Yeah, I totally can relate. I can't tell you how many times I hear, "Miss, you forgot something....". Sigh...
Just glad to know I am not the only person to do that...'cept mine was the whole meal at Taco Bell!
