Reunited and It Feels So Good
It's shitty out today. When I woke up it was thundering and lightening and pouring and so dark outside it was hard to believe it was 6:30AM.
Accordingly, I fell into a deep dark shitty mood. The fact that it was Monday helped this shittifying along.
Since today is Unpacking Day at work, I wore jeans and a polo and reached for my flip flops before realizing it was monsooning out and deciding to dust off the ol' sneaks.
I hardly ever wear sneakers out and about unless I know my day will involve lots of physical activity. Which is to say yeah, don't wear them too much. Kickin' it sedentary style over here!
As I pulled them left one on, I felt a pebble in the toe so I pulled it off and tipped it outside down and guess what fell out?
For those of you just tuning in, I lost this earring (my favorite!) a few weeks ago during an incident that shall forever be known as Dresses That Have To Be Pulled Off Over Your Head Blow. And have since torn my bedroom apart twice looking for it.
And there it was lodged in my sneaker the whole time.
I guess this is the universe's way of saying Girl You Need To Work Out More.

Congrats on finding the earring!! At least you get a little bright spot on this gloomy disgusting Monday.
Not that I should be complaining, since I'm taking most of the day off to go to the neurologist and celebrate my birthday. But this weather IS gross.

I think I just vacuumed up one of my favorite earring and since I have a central vac it was not to be recovered. Maybe I should go through my shoes!
I have a friend who lost her engagement ring and found it 6 months later in a winter boot.

Yay!!! It's like finding money in th epocket of a jacket at the start of a new season!! Also, on a side note...you can buy ONE silver ball earring from Tiffany. My friend was afraid her boyfriend would KILL her when she lost one of her silver bead earrings since that was the second pair in a year he bought her. Called Tiffanys about it and the woman told her she could just buy one!! All stores should do that!! I have so many single earings sitting around in case I ever find the lost match!!
