This weekend Adam and I attended our first halloween party of the season. We spent most of Saturday running around to iParty and the fabric store, getting together our costume. As I mentioned before, I planned on going as Medusa so I picked up some snakes and some toga material and I was good to go:

Earlier in the month, I had convinced Adam to be some kind of roman/greek warrior to go with my costume. I should say I thought I had convinced him. Because while I was in one aisle at iParty, looking at breast plates and helmets, he was in another aisle, falling in love with another costume, something decidedly less related to my own.

That's right, folks. A banana.

But I guess bananas are the most snakelike of fruits, so if Medusa was to have a fruit companion for the night, I suppose it would be a banana.

Anyway the party was fabulous, nearly everyone dressed up and there were mojitos and vodka shots and mysterious Halloween punch and innapropriate jokes and fun music and everyone had a great time, Medusa and Banana included.

Maybe next year we can go as Aphrodite and a kumquat?

We should've had a Halloween-themed Blogtoberfest!

Glad you had such a great time. I second Ulli's opinion of the Medusa costume. And the banana? LOL.

I agree that that is definitely an awesome Medusa costume. You look great!

And the banana? Hysterical. Next year you will probably decide to be something not even close to Greek and he will suddenly decide to be a Greek warrior and not even make the connection to this year's Medusa/banana theme. At least that's how it would go with most men that I know...

Coffee almost just came out my nose!!! No wonder Adam and PJ are friends...

Love your costume, though. I won't be posting pics of my costume until all the events are done, but you can check out my sister's costume on my MySpace page. Please do. As you'd say, it's "the shiz". LOL.
