I know I have been neglecting I Cook Good , but I updated TWICE today so please feel free to check it out.

And speaking of cooking:

I have this obsession with cooking wares. I get one kind of item in my head and I MUST HAVE IT. Even if I can't think of an immediate, neccesary reason to use it, I MUST HAVE IT. My kitchen is like my shoe closet in many ways since approximately half of what is in there I hardly ever use but I still love having it around.

First it was the Kitchen Aid mixer and then CuisinArt food processor...and now it is LE CREUSET.

The french round ovens and the casseroles and the stock pots and the sauciere pans YES PLEASE. I love them. I don't even know what I would cook in them but I would find out and I would do it. To me they are the culinary equivalent of that really expensive pair of shoes that you Have to Have that you will go out and buy a new outfit and handbag to wear with.

Can I fit any more cooking-shoes analogies in here? Let's see.

Seriously, whenever I pass Williams Sonoma I pop in to look at the Flame, Dijon and Sonoma Blue colored pots and shed a small tear over the fact that the saute pan is $190. And the french round oven is $150.

Sometimes I come across pieces at TJ Maxx and Marshalls that are marked down, but it's never quite enough for me to buy it. It's almost like I have put these pots on a pedastal and I don't want the guilt of spending so much to sully how I really feel about them.

Not that I could even afford it. But I am trying to rationalize over here!

I guess I can hold out for having a very Creuset Christmas this year. Or maybe I will start some kind of Sauciere Pan Savings Account. In the mean time I will obsess about it to you all and hope you don't think less of me for being in love with what I know in my heart of hearts is just a red pot.

le Creuset is the creme de la creme for cooks. It is expensive but High quality. I yearn for some myself. I will give you a secret though....They have a Le Creuset Outlet at the Wrentham Village. Check it out!

I dream of the red and green pots like every day! I feel the need for a saucier too! A dutch oven is my dream though!

I feel the exact same way about Le Creuset! I was in Home Goods over the weekend and they had an apple green french round oven that I carried around the store with me for 20 minutes before putting it back. It was $129. I was very sad to leave it.

I don't cook often, and so far I don't enjoy cooking that much. But if there is anything I am a sucker for as far as cooking goes it is fun, bright colors in the kitchen...

Sarah - I am with you on this one... I've been in *lust* with Le Creuset since I have been watching Everyday Italian... I'm trying to save up for the dutch oven and the new forest green colors *fans self*...

Ya might want to check Ebay as well - and Home Goods... Shoes/Le Creuset - tough choice in the shopping side of things...

I love Le Creuset - we registered for one of their teapots for our wedding, and even though neither of us drink tea, damn does it look pretty on our stove. I really enjoy the tiny fruit shaped pots/bowls (I don't really know what they're for).

We have a few...the dutch oven is awfully heavy to lift out of the oven! Its a great piece of cookware though! My husband was a fan before I met him - he had many of the pieces then...we've added a few others since! They clean up real nice too!

I own several le creuset pots, saute pans, tea kettles, casserole dishes, what have you. THEY ROCK! Totally worth the dollars. They go from stove to oven. STOVE TO OVEN!!! Also, you could totally kill a prowler with one whack to the head. The lid alone is quite a weapon. They each weigh about forty pounds. NEVER go barefoot when cooking with creusuet. NEVER.
