well, the Morgan Quitno Press has come out with their annual list of the Smartest States in the Country.

it will surprise no one, least of all me, that 4 out of the top 5 are NEW ENGLAND states.

(and we all know i love me some New England. and i would like to give a special shout out to Massachusetts for coming it at a respectable #3)

now, i don't know if you know this but Adam is from New Hampshire so there is an ongoing NH vs MA war in our household. so of course i did not miss an opportunity last night to say

"wow, look which state isn't so smart?"

to which he quickly replied "yeah, sucks for Rhode Island"

not to fear though because all of the New England states appear at least in the top 20. so we still got it goin' on.

and i won't mention that most of the red states are on the bottom half of the list.

but you know i'm thinking it.

I just have to give the honorable mention to my home state of Minnesota, ranking number 6, just shy of the top 5. ;)
