The Pink Shoe Diaries

i am writing to you from my parents' house in Braintree where i shall be residing until next Saturday, while my parents are vacationing down the Cape. My duties include: taking care of the puppy and watering five plants every day.

in return they gave me: $100, two bottles of wine, access to my mom's jewelery and scarf collection for the week (which is probably the best part), a kitchen stocked with everything from fresh homemade pesto to homegrown tomatoes, and free reign to throw dinner parties/terrace parties/porch parties.

It's like high school all over again, when my parents would go to Europe for 3 weeks at a time. only this time i can legally drink and my mother's jewelery drawer is unlocked.


I think i can handle this.
