Yesterday was one of my favorite people, Andy's birthday. He turned the big TWO FIVE and we celebrated in style at the Parish Cafe on Boylston for dinner

the food was fantastic (as was the sangria!) and it was a very happy, funny dinner with lots of laughter and talk of lifetime movies. i had never been to this restaurant before but i will definitely be going back. the staff is super friendly, the ambience is inviting and the sandwiches are DIVINE. as is the cheese plate. :-)

after we had stuffed ourselves with food and drink we headed over to Dedo in the South End
to do my absolute favorite thing to do when drunk: sing showtunes!

there is a huge piano that takes up most of the upstairs bar and the piano player takes requests as the whole crowd sings along to songs like "All That Jazz", "Greased Lightening" and "Someone To Watch Over Me". we rocked the house down and i definitely had a BLAST.

and as the night winded down, i looked at Andy having a fantastic time, and i felt good, because he is am amazing person who deserved to have an amazing birthday, and i really think that he did.

Happy Birthday, Boo!

(all these pics (except the one of Dedo) were taken by the lovely miss Jenny from alleyesonjenny.com. if you want to see the rest of the photos she took from last night, click here.)

If you and Andy recorded an album of duets, that picture of the two of you would be the perfect cover.
