so, i changed the look of the site a little.
i've been experimenting with MS Paint and dabbling in Photoshop (meaning i do all the work in MS Paint and then open it as a PSD to resize it and do the text....very high tech stuff (riiiiight))
it's kind of tedious, but i needed a change so there we have it.
give me a few props: i have NO idea what i am doing.

I wouldn't mess with mspaint. super crappy program. keeping working with photoshop, though. it's more complicated but it can do so much more. the only way to learn it is just to play around in it. open up an image and do all kinds of crazy things with it. i learned a lot that way.
