a few months ago, i caught the nasty stomach bug that had been going around, and was getting physically sick every day and night at the sight of any kind of food or drink.

luckily one of my favorite sodas was the only thing that could see me through:

its like a slightly sweeter Orangina. very tasty. very soothing.

except now, i am healthy and i crave some of this orange goodness...and when i drink it, it SO reminds me of being violently ill that i become nauseous because of it!

ain't that a bitch!

That happened to me with those little chocolate and mint Andes. I ate too many, puked, and couldn't stand peppermint for about 15 years. Hopefully you'll recover sooner. :-)

I've never had that drink, but it really sucks that your illness has forever ruined your enjoyment of it.

Remember that home science experiment you probably did as a kid where you put a bunch of old, discoloured pennies in a cup of vinegar and watch as they return to their original lustre? Well, I did that...and spilled some of the vinegar...and got it on my hands...and had the taste of vinegar in my mouth (or was it on my mind) for several days. As a result, from then on I could no longer consume vinegar.

But vinegar is vile stuff, anyway...but I used to enjoy it on my fries before..."the incident."

Bah, no matter.

Your blog KICKS ASS!

It's only missing one thing: "Walking Blues" (my blog) under your "Great Links" section on the right, there.

I have an unhealthy love for salted peanuts. The kind you get at baseball games that are still in the shell. I even buy them at Stop & Shop and eat them at home during games. One time last year after doing this, I woke up in the middle of the night and vomited like never before. It was vile. I spent the rest of the night hunched over the toilet with vomit/peanut breath. And I still can't eat my beloved salted peanuts.. not even at Red Sox games. TRAGIC!

I'm hoping the craving will come back again this year. Fingers crossed.
