The Pink Shoe Diaries

on friday night i dreamed that adam and i were food shopping with my brother and his friends, and adam kept talking to my brother's friend kim (who does not exist in real life) instead of me. eventually, adam and kim left the supermarket together and i was stranded there alone.

when i woke up, i was so pissed at adam. like, i didn't even want to talk to him. how dare he ditch me at stop & shop!? i even told him when he asked me why i was being so grumpy "because you were a dick to me in my dream last night!".

as if this were perfectly legitimate.

i know it was a dream, but i really get mad at people in real life when they do me wrong in my dreams.

when i was in college, i worked part time for a mortgage company in the South End. i had the biggest crush on my boss there, Joe. he was everything a man should be: smart, funny, well-dressed, good looking, rich, and of course, gay. so being that he had all these qualities AND was unattainable, i was in love with him.

one night i had a dream that my friend Meg slept with Joe. i didn't actually witness the act in my dream. but they had went on a date and them she had told me all the gory details.

when i woke up i was SO mad at Meg. how dare she sleep with my boss who she knows i am in love with. never mind the fact that he is gay (or that it happened in my dream), its the PRINCIPLE.

i literally didn't talk to her for at least an entire day or two because of this. and then after my anger subsided i had to laugh at how stupid i was and tell her all about it.

i think it's really proof that you can't help how you feel. either that or I really am a huge bitch.
