last night Danielle and I definitely Did What We Want. (and we Looked Good too, might i add)

a few months ago we had signed up and paid for this "Cooking With Wine" class at the Boston Center for Adult Education and the class took place last night. In it, pupils learned how to cook 2-3 different meals using various wines and discussed the different ways in which certain vines can enhance a dish.

at least, that is what i assume went on. Danielle and i skipped it.

oops!

basically, the last 1.5 hours of work yesterday were the worst 1.5 hours i have had in a long, long, long time. something bad happened, that was partially my fault but was made out to seem like it was ALL my fault. really, i think it could have happened to anyone. essentially i sent 2 million dollar contracts out to Boston via a courier, and it turns out that the person who came here, and told me he was here to pick up the package going into Boston, and that he was from H's delivery service, and whom i gave the contracts too, was NOT a courier. we don't know who he was. and now we don't know where those contracts are.

so i was not feeling in a particularly scholarly mood. and Danielle had mentioned to me earlier that she was having a bad day at well. so instead of going to class, we met at the Beantown Pub which is a mere 4 blocks from where the class is being held, and drank wine and martinis and ate bruschetta and listened (sang along with) Journey and talked.

it was very nice, and very needed.

then around 10PM-ish i left the bar and went back to Quincy where i met Adam at the Fox & Hound for my standard meal: a glass of pinot grigio and piece of cheesecake. the bartender there SO knows my style that cheesecake and an extra glass of wine never made it onto our bill. he will be working there tomorrow night, at my Low Key Birthday Night of Fabulousness, and i can't even wait.

twenty fucking five, people!

believe it!
