when I was a senior in high school, I applied to college early. actually...i applied to twelve colleges early, to be exact, and had all my applications in before thanksgiving. as my parents said, it was better do just get it over with and not have to think about it over the holidays. so by the middle of December i was already getting my acceptance letters. My dad took me aside after the second acceptance arrived (from St Anslems, I believe) and told me “now some of the pressure is off. You can relax and have fun now. Enjoy youself” which I took to mean “never go to gym again” and thus I almost didn’t graduate and was forced to drunkenly accost my housemaster at the senior prom and declare “If I don’t graduate….it’s YOUR fault!....stupid gym requirement!”

…..but that is a story for another time

my point is, that getting into college has the same effect on your high school scholarliness as getting a new job does on your work ethic. Instead, replace "skipping gym" with "fucking off constantly" because this is how i am rolling these days.
