pregnant people are annoying


i was sitting on the train this morning (not reading, because in the morning i am a "stare-er" like jeannie..and also i burned my hand on my iron this morning and was too focused on my throbbing hand to read) and i couldn't help but over hear the conversation occuring to my right, between an older lady and a younder "pregnant" lady. Now, I use iutalics because she couldn't have been more than 3-4 months pregnant AND she had on a rather large coat, so discerning her pregnancy was difficult. All the woman was talking about for most of the train ride into Boston was "no one evre gives their seat up for me" and "Boston people are so rude..i mean i'm PREGNANT!" and so on and so forthg.


this made me angry for a few reasons. first of all, she does not look pregnant at all, so how would anyone know? in this day and age of obesity, i am reluctant to accuse anyone of being pregnant unless i am absolutely sure that they are. and second of all, the real reason no one gives this woman a seat is because unlike her hidden pregnancy, her annoyingness is immediately discernable.
