also: i think there should be a fake phone number that you can give out to people who are heinous on the phone. i answer about 100 calls a day, and out of that there are about 5 assholes who will call and behave so rudely that i can barely contain the stream of expletives that would be flying from my mouth were i not 1)at work and 2) being paid to coddle these cretins. perhaps you would like an example? this just happened 5 minutes ago:


Me: Good Afternoon XXX Real Estate how can I help you?
Heinous Beast: Give me Antoine
Me: Sure Thing! One Moment Please.
(i place HB on hold and buzz Antoine's office. He is not there)
Me: Ma'am, I'm sorry but he is out of the office can I..
HB (cutting me off): Ring his office!
(what did she think i did? intuitively divine that he was not there?)
Me: Ma'am I just did, he is not there
HB: I don't think so! I was only on hold for 2 seconds
Me: I will try again
(put her back on hold, sigh, and buzz Antoine's office again. weird - he is not there)
Me: Ma'am he is still not there
HB: Don't you say "still" to me! Give me his cell phone
Me: (a bit flabbergasted) certainly


and then i gave her the number. Which brings me to my point. I wish there was a fake number I could give her and when she called a recording would say "Hello, you have been connected with this message because you were rude on the phone. Please stop behaving like a beast, and when you have developed phone manners feel free to call back the person you were previously talking to."


this is such a neccesity i think.
