do you see a resemblence between the two?
although during the debate he was a little more like this
for serious. how much can one man cry about sealed records? shouldn't some of this crying be directed at monsieur bush who won't even release his driving records? sheesh.
so the winner of the debate was, by overwhelming charm, eloquence and hotness, was john edwards
look at that face! anyway, his ideas on public schooling and on the israeli/palestinian conflict were refreshing, as was his pleasant demeanor. say what you will: being a little pleasant goes a long way in these debates. If you seem like an approachable, affable and intelligent guy you will get further with voters than if you seem aristocratic and tree-like (cough, cough, john kerry), or republican-like (joe liebs!) or pissed off as all hell (cough, cough howard dean). see? and i am a howard dean girl! i love him, but i can admit that this was not his best debate. granted, with moonface on his ass about sealed records and everyone ganging up on him like he was Lews Skolnik in Revenge of the Nerds...i can't really blame him.
This debate also raised an interesting question: if Edwards is the most likeable to moderate republicans (as evident in post debate wrapup), is that a good enough reason to vote for him....in the hopes that in the ultimate faceoff in 2004 he will steal repub votes from Dubya? Who really can beat him? I am still voting for Dean, I still believe in his message the most, but I wonder at the end of the day if the support of "people who have never been involved in the political process before" is enough. There are a hell of a lot of Republicans - those sh*ts are like cockroaches..they will be here after the end of the world.
Nothing against republicans now, i feel bad for y'all. This administration has done more harm to your party than any Democrat ever could.
ok, enough with the political rants. It is time to watch Law and Order:CI
