Spanksgiving
Well here we are the day before Thanksgiving. How did we get here so fast? I had an inkling in September that the season would just fly by and it certainly is so far. Adam's and my annual holiday party is NEXT WEEKEND and I haven't even finalized the appetizer list.
Yikes bikes!!!
But let's focus on the present. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and though times are tough we all have much to be grateful for. Family. Friends. Gin. etc.
Today I will be thankful for a "closing the office early" email so I can head home and get started on the dishes I am bringing to my parents' house tomorrow.
This Sausage and Italian Bread Stuffing
and This Corn Casserole.
I also plan on picking up some cocktail fixings and having a few friends over tonight for some low key revelry. Our 10 year high school reunion is this Saturday and so, while normally this night would entail descending on the local dive bars and whipping ourselves into a hometown frenzy, this year I think most are laying low preparing for Saturday night.
So here's to you and yours. Enjoy the holiday . Don't fill up on appetizers (a mistake I always manage to make) and be safe!
