I made a belated discovery:

Jo Dee Messina ROCKS.

Thank you Andy, for making me a fabulous mix and showing me what's up.

I only know that one song of hers "Downtime" but i can tell by how much I love it that I will love whatever else she has to offer.

Plus she is a red head:

and I support the endeavors of all fellow red heads. Just like I supported La Lohan before she went all blonde and cocaine-y.

Anyone want to reccomend a particular album for me to buy and rock out to in my car?

Hi Sarah!
I love Jo Dee! I saw her in concert last year and she was amazing. I would recommend her Greatest Hits CD ... cheesy, I know ... but it has Lesson in Leaving, Bye Bye, and I'm Alright -- personal favorites of mine to rock out to in the car.

jodee is definitely one of my favorites too! as amazing as she sounds recorded, she is 100 times better in person. if you ever get the chance to see her, definitely go! i second the "greatest hits" cd, and also her new cd, "delicious surprise". enjoy!

She's got a pretty good story too... she's been in rehab and stuff, so songs like "I'm Alright" and "My Giveadamn's Broken" (which is SO overplayed) really mean something. "Bye Bye" is really my favorite--it's so liberating.

welll...
If you're looking for redheads, there's always Tori Amos.

But, I'd avoid any of the cd's other than "Little Earthquakes"...that's the best, IMHO.

I am also a redhead! Who knew there were so many out there in blog land??

I know...that album is great!

I am undecided on the other ones. There are songs here and there that i like, but then they're other songs that you listen to the lyrics, and are just "huh??".

But, "Little Earthquakes", all the songs are good.
