would it be too cliché if i blogged about gas?
oh well.
this morning i went to a gas station where if you pay in cash you get 3 cents off each gallon, which I know is not alot but i am pinching gas pennies where i can since i drive 50 miles each day just to get to work and back. i only had a 20 dollar bill on me so i just put that amount in my tank.
um, yeah. $20 got me HALF a TANK. and i drive a SMALL CAR. two doors. small wheels, tiny engine. come on now.
and earlier this year , i could fill the whole tank for $17.
so i am contemplating this sad fact as I drove down Rt 128 this morning, or rather, sat in traffic on Rt 128. and as i was sitting, listening to Madonna, i noticed a sign hanging from the bridge above the highway. it was neon orange paint on a white sign so it was sort of difficult to read in the bright morning sun.
"Deiceo's Need To Be Wacked".
at first i thought "Deiceo" was someone's last name and i was like "that's kind of an ill sentiment to express to the thousands of morning commuters, especially since we don't even know who this "Deiceo" is" . not to mention the horrendous grammar.
but as i drove closer I saw what it really said
"Oil Ceo's Need To Be Wacked"
this time i forgave the horrendous grammar and had myself a good ol' laugh.
thank you, anonymous hoodlums. you made my morning.

20 bucks would give me less than a quarter of a tank.
This gas business is seriously eating away at my shopping money.
Is your state legislature considering halting collection of gas tax for a while? I know some states are.
