if last night had a title, it would definitely be "No Pizza.....LOTS of Pizza!"

i had a very long work day, followed by an after-hours weekend. and the whole time i was thinking "if i ever get out of this place, i am ordering a veggie pizza and laying on the couch all night"

so when i got home i rooted through our "Menus and Phonebooks" drawer which by law can only contain out of date Yellow Pages and expired dinner menus & coupons. of course. but I gathered together my flyers from Pizza Hut, Dominos, Time Out Pizza, and Washington Street Pizza Since Pizza Hut has the best deals, the got called first.

I ordered my large veggie pizza, and then was told that there would be a 2 1/2 to 3 hour wait. riiiight.

so then i called Dominos and they told me they could not make me a veggie pizza without mushrooms on it (i cannot eat mushrooms, the texture makes me hurl). The lady did helpfully tell me that I could pick them off. thanks.

I called Time Out next, because they are across the street from me and I figured even my lazy ass could walk 100 feet if it meant getting my much needed pizza.

But they told me they were not making any more pizzas for the night. This was at 8PM.

wtf?

How can it be so hard to get a GD pizza on a Thursday night? It's a pretty common meal, and 8PM is not too late. I have gotten pizza at 2AM before.

So finally, my last resort I call Washington Street Pizza. Their veggie pizza actually sounded pretty gross since the only veggies used are green peppers, onions and the abhored mushroom. So i order a green pepper pizza and call it even.

PHEW.

an hour later, there is no pizza at my door. they assure me it will be there some day.

finally 1/2 an hour later it arrives. actually two arrive: my small pepper pizza (which is actually big) and a large pepperoni pizza (which is enourmous). I explain that I only ordered one pizza, and the delivery man says I can keep the pepperoni one for being patient about the wait!

so there you have it...No Pizza.....followed by LOTS of Pizza.

but of course by then i had filled up on snacks and could only eat one slice.

but c'est la vie.

I feel like I passed by 100 various houses of pizza on the way to your house the other night!
