i think our office cleaning lady has OCD.
it would make sense, in a way. because as a cleaning lady you must love to clean, and most people who have OCD are hyper-neat (like my mother, who cannot rest if there is one crumb on the counter!)
but it is starting to get out of hand.
i have all new office furniture. i used to have a nasty gray polymer type wrap-around desk and a nasty gray cubicle. i have now forfeited my cubicle but in return have a lovely mahogany wrap around desk with two matching hutches and drawers galore.
it is lovely.
but every day when i come in, everything is different from how i left it the night before. my wastebasket is on the far end of my office away from me, my post it holder is against the wall, and my plant is on the far corner of my desk.
in the morning when i come in, i always move the wastebasket closer to me (why would i need it to be 10 feet away from me?), move the post-its and the plant because the way she puts it, it does like nice being so fitted in the corner, but when someone opens the door the plant nearly gets caught in it.
i can handle everything but the wastebasket. why does she put it clear across the office?!!! i have seen her empty them before and she just takes the bag out, she doesnt take the whole thing so why even bother moving it at all!
maybe there is some fung shui thing going on.
i dont even know why it bothers me, but it does. it's extra effort to move it! i don't get it!
today, we bust out the duct tape.

Maybe she thinks YOU'RE OCD and she's just doing it to mess with you? I know people who do that to their coworkers. My cleaning-people move my wastebasket every night too. It's wicked annoying.
