i saw Beyond The Sea this weekend, and i can officially say that it was Not Good.

i entered the theater with high expectations, since i love Bobby Darin (who the movie is about) and Kevin Spacey (who plays Bobby Darin).

i left the theater with hate in my heart for Kevin Spacey...and even a little bit of hate for Bobby Darin even though i know it's not his fault that such a bad, bad, movie was made about his life.

it was like the movie couldn't decide if it was a musical or a serious bio-pic. the only thing the movie could decide on, was that it was going to be bad.

i was glad when he died in the end, if that tells you anything. i thought it meant the movie was finally over. unfortunately this was not even true.

you know, i agree. i sort of hated bobby d. just because of that movie and it is clearly not his fault. my favorite part was at the end when they wrote like two sentences on each person as of today. anyway, we need to see a better movie soon. at least you now have briscoe. i got the digi pics for you!

bad movie aside, how was kate bosworth in what was supposedly a very different role for the ultimate girl next door?

oh i forgot to mention that. she was actually really good! i liked her alot as sandra dee. the only negative thing i would say is they should have given her colored contacts because she has two different colored eyes and it was slightly crazy looking. other than that: awesome.

we went and saw 'meet the fockers' and though i probably lost brain cells while watching it i thought it was really good--so hilarious!
as for the whole mattress thing: cooper and i are buying a queen bed frame and mattress b/c the full we've been sharing is way too small. isn't it fun to go into the mattress floors and lie down on the beds?! i feel like such a little kid doing something wrong. it was definitely my favorite part of mattress buying. i want of those $1k sleep by numbers bed so badly though!! too bad i can't spend that on a silly mattress.
oh! and how's the fish? fluffy actually came back from the dead and was swimming around his bowl when i came to work this morning.

While the story of Bobby Darin interests me somewhat, I've been really turned off by Kevin Spacey the past few years. He hasn't made very many good movies lately, which is a shame because he's a really good actor (although I'm one of the few people who disliked "American Beauty"). He also seems to be just a tad in love with himself.

I saw "Million Dollar Baby" last night. Amazing movie! Very intense.

sarah, my bro "the long engagment" or whatever that audrey movie is called and he loved it. real bloody though because it takes place during WW1. Anyway, lets go see it! or million dollar baby, although MDB is the worst name for a movie ever. -<3dink
