i am telling you: there is fixing to be a riot at the dunkin donuts near my apartment.

every day, this particular dunkin donuts does something that creates anger and feelings of violence among its' patrons..or at least me.

for instance: first they announced that they would not accept DD gift cards. but how do they announce it? by telling me after I've already waited in the drive thru line for 5 minutes and placed my order.

next: they employ people who are wholly unfamiliar with the english language. now, i don't think you should have to be fluent to work at a Dunks...but i think you should be somewhat familiar with words like "coffee", "latte", and "iced". i mean, that is good business sense. what is NOT good business sense is to take someone's order, during which they state they would like a large hazelnut iced coffee, ask them to repeat it several times...and then STILL give them a hot coffee when they drive to the pick up window.

and now, the piece de la resistance. they have built ANOTHER way to enter the drive-thru line that starts halfway through the original route. so, essentially, you drive in through the entrance marked "drive thru" and right where you place your order..there is a driveway leading from the street where other cars can jump in and cut you off!!

argh!

i think dunkin donuts employees are the stupidest people on this earth. (no offense to anyone who works at either place who might be reading this, because obviously you're the exception. you can read. and in english.)

How can it be that DD can mess this up so royally? And how can they NOT take their own gift cards? I'm still fighting with Starbucks on their inability to take theirs, but still. I honestly expect better from DD!
