Well of course now I am sick. Because everyone else is sick. And if everyone else is sick then I usually get sick too.

Bronchitis and a sinus infection, what what!

I thought I just had a terrible cold/laryngitis but a trip to the le dottore's office yesterday afternoon proved otherwise. It's always nice to hear from your physician "Wait, didn't you JUST have this same thing not that long ago? What gives?". It's true. In March of last year I was also double teamed by a sinus and bronchial infection. Good times.

Some people think having a hoarse voice is sexy, and I am sure on some people it is. But with me? I sound like I should be in an iron lung. Or like my voicebox is stuffed with steel wool.

Dead sexy, I tell you.

I used to get bronchitis every year in middle school and high school. In fact I heard that once you get bronchitis, you get it every year around the same time for 5 years. I am starting to believe that since before last March, I hadn't had bronchitis since high school. And hear I am again almost a year later with the same thing.

I presented my theory to my doctor, and he gave me the same look he gave me when I told him I thought that no women on earth were 5'8 because I had never met one. Everyone around that height is either 5'7 or 5'9. I have since been proven wrong, but I still kind of feel that people who say they are 5'8 are really like 5'7 and 3/4. To tell the truth I say I am 5'9 but I am really 5'8 and 3/4. But who wants to go around saying that?

In any case, hello Z-pack, and hello cough syrup with codeine, we are going to have some good times over the next few days.

I'm actually 5'8 and 3/4 too! I say 5'9 because, with a little yoga, who says that can't be true?
I feel complete empathy for you right now. I was sick for the entire month of December, had a little reprieve over school va-k, and got hit with a massive sinus infection the day I got back to work. Two weeks later, I got put on antibiotics...to which I had a couple disasterous physical reactions. Now I'm off of them and waiting to see if my sinus infection comes back. Fab. Few items for you to pick up today: saline solution nasal spray, a heatable eye mask to put onto your sinuses, and a box of puff's plus. Those were my best friends. Feel better!

I don't know about you, but cough syrup with codeine knocks me the hell out. I took half the suggested dose one time and was asleep for 15 hours. Z-pak rocks though. Feel better!!

I'm sorry that you're sick.
I often get the exact same thing and lose my voice for 2-3 weeks. I don't mind it too much when people (mostly men) say I sound like Demi Moore, but I don't love it when one of my co-workers says I sound like Peppermint Patty. oy!

caity, it's weird the cough syrup doesnt knock me out AT ALL. i even tried to take more than i am supposed to and it still doesnt really do anything. i mean it does get me to stop coughing but i don't feel anymore tired than usual. nyquil works better on me! :-P

I hope you feel better soon! I share in your pain - although not sick, I did just have a root canal this morning and well, that pretty much sucks too :)

I used to work as a receptionist in a psychologists office. The regular secretary worked 8-3 and I would just work 3-6 for the late afternoon patients. On more than one occassion, I would have people call up and mistake me for the regular secretary. When I told them who I was, they would say "You sound just like [regular secretary] with a cold!" So nice to sound just like someone else...with a cold.

Every woman I know is 5 foot 4.
